When I first started thinking about blogging, I honestly had no idea where to begin. All I knew was why I wanted to do it — to share something meaningful, something that could uplift and encourage others. Even if my words reach only one person who truly needs them, that would be enough.
So, it feels fitting that my very first post should be about a journey.
What Is a journey?
According to the dictionary, a journey is “an act of travelling from one place to another” or “a long and often difficult process of personal change and development.”
The truth is, we are all on this journey called life. Sometimes it’s exciting and full of wonder; other times, it’s confusing, exhausting, and unpredictable. There are moments when the road ahead seems clear — and others when it feels like we’ve lost the map entirely.
The Destination and the Road
In any journey, the destination is important. We want to know where we’re going and how to get there. Some people love planning every step — from the sights to the schedule — making sure it’s all cost-effective and worthwhile.
If only life worked that way! But it doesn’t.
Life doesn’t come with a perfectly mapped-out route. The journey you’re on might be joyful right now, while someone beside you is walking through grief or hardship. The road of life twists and turns; sometimes it’s steep, lonely, or filled with potholes. And sometimes, it feels like you’re in the darkest tunnel, unsure if there’s any light at the end.
We need to remember that while we make choices that shape our lives, we don’t truly control life. Anything — the loss of a loved one, a broken relationship, financial struggles — can change our course in an instant.
When the Road Feels Too Hard
There are times when the road feels so rough that you might even ask yourself, “Is it worth staying on the road?”
I want to tell you: yes, it is.
Life is hard, and I don’t pretend to understand all the pain, fear, or battles you might be facing. But what I do know — with absolute certainty — is that you are not alone. No matter how it feels, God is with you. Always.
Finding Your Guide
So how do we keep moving forward? How do we face the curves, crossroads, and dark tunnels?

By placing all our trust in Jesus.
It’s not always easy — far from it — but it’s always worth it.
Grab your Bible and turn to Proverbs 3:5–6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Read it again. Slowly.
Trust in Him with all your heart — not half, not a quarter. He wants all of it. And here’s the part that most of us struggle with: “…do not lean on your own understanding.”
It’s not easy. It takes time. But when you make it a habit to pray, to ask Jesus to be your Guide, and to acknowledge Him in everything you do, He will do exactly what He promises — He will direct your path.
The Journey Continues
Will trusting God make your life smooth and problem-free? No. But it will make the road bearable.
Because you’ll never walk it alone.

No matter where you are — on a mountain, in a valley, or deep in a tunnel — you can call on Jesus, anytime, day or night. And He will be there to show you the way.
